Random Acts of Kindness
I put in bold the ones I've completed so far.
1. Give a box of doggie treats go your neighbor’s pooch.
2. Let someone else be first in line at the grocery store.
3. Say hi to someone you don’t know at your school or work.
4. If your home schooled , thank your parents for investing the time and energy it takes to do this.
5. Surprise your mom by dusting and vacuuming the house.
6. Write an appreciation note (through regular snail mail) to your pastor, youth leader, teacher, boss, co-worker, ect.
7. Sweep your neighbor’s porch or drive way (or shovel snow) as a special surprise.
8. Stick an “I love you” note in your dad’s or husband’s coat pocket, briefcase or lunch bag so he’ll find it sometime during the day while he’s on the job.
9. Empty all the trash cans in your house.
10. Buy an inexpensive basket from the local hobby store, fill it with fun stuff (packaged microwave popcorn, granola bars, potpourri, cute pencils, note pad) and deliver it to an elderly adult from your church.
11. Make a thermos of hot chocolate and get to school or work early. Pour a cup (with marshmallows on the top) and have it sitting on your teacher, boss, or co-worker’s desk he/she get’s there.
12. Find an old sock, stuff it with another old sock (or rag), sew it closed and give it to your neighbor’s dog or cat as a special toy.
13. Make cupcakes for one of your classes at school (ask the teacher first!) or work.
14. Search through your closet and donate the cloths that are too small or ones that you don’t wear and donate them to Goodwill or the Salvation Army.
15. Offer to pick up used clothing from a few of your neighbors to donate to a local mission.
16. Get up early and clean
17. If you live in a city that uses tollgates, pay for the car behind you.
18. Take your younger sibling on a special outing to the park, the mall, plaetarium, zoo, whatever!
19. Make dinner for your entire family. Even if it's hot dogs or frozen dinners, your kindness will be appreciated!
20. Volunteer to work in the church nursery this Sunday.
21. Wash and wax your dad/husband's car.
22. Stand outside the entrance of a busy store and hold the door open people.
23. Have you watched something uplifting lately? Write a letter of appreciation to the network!
24. Give your mom/wife a big hug and kiss.
